Summary of Position:
Support Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technical infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around providing excellent support to employees, conducting maintenance activities, managing software applications, handling licenses, and overseeing asset management. The ideal candidate is adept at troubleshooting technical issues, implementing patches, and possesses a strong understanding of IT infrastructure.
Location: Vilnius, onsite
Type of contract: Contract of employment, full-time
Salary range: 2600-3200 EUR gross/month (depending on candidate's experience and skills)
Job Responsibilities:
Employees' Support:
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems with patience and efficiency.
- Collaborate with end-users to understand their technical needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Maintenance Activities:
- Conduct routine maintenance activities to ensure stability and performance of IT systems.
- Perform system updates, upgrades, and patches in a timely manner.
- Monitor system health and proactively address potential issues.
Patching Infrastructure:
- Implement and manage patching strategies to enhance security and system functionality.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to schedule and deploy patches across the infrastructure.
- Stay informed about the latest security vulnerabilities and apply patches accordingly.
Application (Software) Management:
- Manage and support various software applications used within the organization.
- Install, configure, and update software applications as needed.
- Troubleshoot software-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
Licenses Management:
- Maintain an inventory of software licenses and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
- Coordinate the acquisition and renewal of software licenses as required.
- Address license-related queries and discrepancies.
Asset Management:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software.
- Track and manage the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to retirement.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure asset accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Min. 3 years of proven experience as a Support Engineer or similar role.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security.
- Familiarity with patch management and system maintenance best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with MS Azure services like MS Entra and MS Intune.
- Very good English (both written and spoken, min. B2 level)
