Senior Account Manager
The EMEA Region seeks an experienced Account Manager.
The Account Manager (AM) is the main contact point for Softeq customers on the business level and is thus key to becoming intimate with the customer. The AM should understand the business of key customers and be able to advise the customer on business development.
The responsibilities of the account manager include:
- Acquisition of new customers. You are supposed to work mostly with warm leads. The sales include taking the leads over from marketing, qualifying, preparing the proposal, selling our proposal, and managing the contracting and onboarding process.
- Managing a basket of customers assigned or acquired by you. This includes constant check-ins to make sure the customer gets the best value of our services but also to look for upselling and cross-sell opportunities. Besides this, you also own all commercial and legal questions so you will resolve all questions related to this area.
The Account Manager will also be responsible for effectively leading collaboration between various teams within Softeq and the customer. To maintain a sustainable portfolio and to provide the AM with the authority to make important decisions that help to achieve the goals above the AM has P&L responsibility for his portfolio.
What we expect from you:
- Strong English
- Great Communication Skills
- Minimum 5 years experience in sales of services
- Minimum 5 years experience in account management (service selling)
- Ability and Willingness to travel to meet prospects/customers face to face
- Good understanding of main principles of the software development lifecycle, software product development, deployment
- A network in the region to potential customers
- Team player, Team leader
As a great advantage:
- Technical Education (e.g. computer science)
- Additional languages from the region (DACH, Benelux, Nordics)
- Knowledge of Product Development/Management processes
- Domain experience in Mobility (automotive), Energy, GreenTech, consumer Electronics, Healthcare
- Good overview of the latest trends and developments in the industry
- Having worked with Delivery managers or PMs on large complex programs/projects
- Business consulting experience
In this role, you’ll:
- Develop Account Plans for Anchor Accounts (existing accounts, new strategic accounts)
- Manage and Coordinate Account-Based Marketing Activities
- Represent Softeq in meetings, calls, at conferences
- Monitor and Manage the P&L
- Qualify new requests
- Develop a path to win for qualified leads
- Manage the RFX processes and pursuit teams
- Mentor, train, and onboard junior AM positions
