Solution Architect
Join our Solution Engineering department to build high-quality, high-performing software for innovative tech startups and Fortune 500 enterprises. In this role, you’ll be part of the whole product life cycle, developing new solutions and improving and maintaining existing ones.
What you will do:
- Directly participate in the design/development of architectural and technical solutions for various complex hardware and software projects with a focus on embedded solutions;
- Determine the optimal strategic direction for the project development from a technical perspective and take into account modern IT trends with a focus on business needs;
- Develop a sales strategy in the context of the solution selling and/or technical selling;
- Manage the development of a technical solution as a part of the business proposal creation, including the selection of a tech stack, developing the concept of a technical solution, WBS creation/estimation, and conducting technical presentations;
- “Build vs Buy” analysis of the project requirements;
- Bridging the client’s business needs into the appropriative optimal technical solution;
- Provide technical risk mitigation plans;
- Interaction with the customer both on strategic issues of further development of the project and on current technical issues;
- Mentoring and training of developers;
- Participation in business trips to the customer's side, if necessary.
Key Requirements:
- Intensive technical background in embedded development with a focus on hardware and firmware solutions;
- Tech stack:
- Hardware: Schematic/PCB (read, understand, analyze);
- Embedded:
- Bare Metal;
- BSP;
- Linux Kernel, User Space;
- Android;
- DSP;
- HMI;
- Backend:
- Backend architecture, Microservice Architecture, Software architecture, Design Patterns, Architecture best practices, Horizontal/vertical scaling, load balancing, service discovery;
- Azure/AWS with a focus on IoT solutions (Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core);
- Security standards;
- General:
- IoT platforms (Custom and “off the shelf”), IoT infrastructure (Device/Data/Event management, Messaging, Security, etc.);
- Fluent English;
- Strong understanding of SDLC;
- Great communication skills and extensive experience in working with clients (remotely and face to face);
- Experience in leading small teams (3-5 people);
- Willingness to travel for presentations and working sessions with customers face to face;
- Understand different software/hardware project pricing models;
- Experience in modeling and visualizing processes/problems/solutions;
- Open-minded, broad outlook on IT technologies;
- Team player, team leader.
Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience with complex projects consisting of different software and hardware modules (e.g. Hardware/Firmware, Back-end, Mobile app);
- Experience in managing small teams (3-5 people);
- Understanding of TCO/CAPEX/OPEX
- Business communication skills with C-level customers;
- Experience in the following domains: IoT, Industrial Automation, AI/Machine Learning, AR/VR, Automotive, Healthcare, Robotics;
- Experience in Mechanical design.
